President Ram Nath Kovind has approved Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde as the next Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Let us tell you that Justice Bobde will replace the current Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi on November 18 and will take oath as Chief Justice of Bobde on November 18, his term will be 18 months.

Recently President Ram Nath Kovind has signed the appointment letter of Justice Bobde. Let us also tell you that Justice Bobde is the second most senior judge of the Supreme Court after the Chief Justice and he has been the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court before this. In such a tradition, the current Chief Justice writes a letter recommending the name of the judge to hold the charge after him and Justice Gogoi wrote a letter to the President on October 18, recommending the name of Justice Bobde, after which he took the oath on November 18. 

Let us tell you that Justice Ranjan Gogoi was sworn in as the 46th Chief Justice of India on October 3, 2018 and during the tenure of Justice Gogai, a decision can be taken on the Ayodhya land dispute, the country's most sensitive issue. In such a situation, during his tenure as Chief Justice, the Supreme Court has heard many historical cases and this includes petitions on Ayodhya case, NRC, Jammu and Kashmir.
