New Delhi: Farmers' movement has been going on for the last four months on the borders of Delhi. The farmers have made it clear that they will not come from the Delhi border until the central government withdraws the new agricultural laws. Meanwhile, farmers organized a Mahapanchayat in Jind, Haryana. Delhi's CM Arvind Kejriwal also reached, where he fiercely targeted the Modi government. Along with this, the Center demanded the repeal of new laws.
CM Kejriwal said that 300 farmers sacrificed during the Kisan agitation, we salute them. It is our responsibility not to waste their sacrifice. The BJP-led central government converted 9 stadiums in Delhi into jails and conspired to shut down the farmers, but we were lucky. We had the powers to convert the stadium into a prison, due to which the central government could not succeed. The Center sent me a file and started pressuring me saying that there would be an issue of law and order.
CM Kejriwal accused the Center of threatening to wrest power from him, but he did not listen to them and rejected the file. Later the Central Government has introduced a Bill in Parliament to punish his Government. Further, he stated "We had to face opposition to support the peasant movement. They are punishing us by passing the bill to the elected government and instead of giving power in the hands of the Lieutenant Governor".
