New Appeal by Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi High Court: Seeks No Coercive Action - Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, has filed a fresh plea in the Delhi High Court requesting protection from coercive action in the Excise policy case. Today, a division bench led by Justice Suresh Kumar Kait will address this matter. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued nine summons to the Delhi CM regarding the Excise case.
During yesterday's hearing at the Delhi HC, Kejriwal's legal team expressed concerns that he might be arrested by the ED. They emphasized his willingness to cooperate if provided with protection.
Commenting on Kejriwal's latest plea, Harish Khurana, a leader from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), criticized the Delhi CM's actions. "Once again, Arvind Kejriwal is avoiding the ED's summons. Why he's doing so, only he knows. By evading the authorities, he shows disrespect towards the law. No one is above the law. He should abide by it. His evasion suggests he might be hiding something."
