Gujarat Assembly elections soon to be held in 2022, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal keeping an eye over it is all set to visit Ahmedabad on Monday. He will inaugurate the state office of the Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat.

Tuli Banerjee has invited Kejriwal by the state AAP unit to visit Ahmedabad to inaugurate the party’s office located in the city’s Navrangpura locality. Quoting the statement to PTI, “A detailed itinerary of Kejriwal’s visit will be issued on Sunday,” AAP’s Gujarat spokesperson Tuli Banerjee said. This invitation was made sfter its satisfactory performance in Surat municipal corporation elections in February this year. AAP now aims at 2022 Assembly elections in the Bharatiya Janata Party ruled Gujarat. The Kejriwal led government AAP had emerged as the main opposition to the BJP. The party grabbed 27 seats in the 120-member Surat Municipal Corporation. Now, AAP is looking forward to making inroads in the BJP bastion and emerge as an alternative to Congress.

Additionally, the Modi government, BJP won the Gujarat assembly election in 1995 and has been in power since.
