Owaisi claims China occupies 1,000 square kilometres of Land in India

New Delhi: The opposition has once again attacked the Modi government amid tensions over the Line of Actual Control (LAC). AIMIM chief and MP from Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency Asaduddin Owaisi has alleged that China has occupied 1,000 square kilometres of Indian territory, with an area of 900 square kilometres in Depsang.

AIMIM chief Owaisi said Rajnath Singh did not mention depsang in a statement made in the Lok Sabha. He said, "PM, it may be inconvenient for you, but at this moment you are preventing Parliament from giving full information. You are responsible to parliamentarians. In the Lok Sabha, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had said that China has unauthorisedly occupied 38,000 square kilometres of land in India. Rajnath Singh said that the Line of Actual Control (LAC) is not clearly delineed and China also describes about 90,000 square kilometres of land bordering India.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh briefed parliament on china's nefarious actions. He said China attempted to change the status quo in May and June, but the Indian army foiled its efforts. We have told China that such incidents will not be acceptable to us, "Rajnath said.
