Shark Tank India was a show that supported start-up concepts proposed by young people. On December 20, 2021, it made its debut. In the competition, aspiring Indian business owners presented their business plans to a panel of judges, who were investors. They made an effort to convince them to contribute money to their company. Vineeta Singh, Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, Ashneer Grover, Ghazal Alagh, and Peyush Bansal were the sharks from the first season of Shark Tank India. These judges worked together for the first time and quickly gained popularity on the show.
Ashneer Grover, a shark from Shark Tank India, stopped by for a chat with a group of students and talked about the other sharks on the well-known reality show. He asserted that, in contrast to what the other sharks had claimed, they had all agreed to be on the show because they wanted to become famous.
A variation of the popular American reality series is called Shark Tank in India. On the panel with Ashneer were Anupam Mittal of Shaadi.com, Aman Gupta of BoAt, Vinita Singh of Sugar Cosmetics, Ghazal Alagh of MamaEarth, Peyush Bansal of Lenskart, and Namita Thapar of Emcure Pharmaceuticals.
Ashneer was asked what inspired him to do the show during the chat, which was posted on the Master's Union YouTube channel. He claimed that making the choice wasn't difficult and that his wife, who he claimed enjoys glamour, had encouraged him to go for it.
He claimed to not use drugs, drink, or smoke, but fame has an intoxicating effect. He continued by saying that it gives you a high and is something that, at least thus far, he can control and enjoys. He continued by saying that many people will make the absurd claim that they are working for the good of the country.
He continued, "Even if you talk to all the sharks, they'll make big claims about why they did the show for various reasons. I'll tell you right now that everyone on the show was a shark who wanted to become famous. What opportunities are there for self-actualization now that they are all educated and have established businesses? Fame, yes? All of them came for that. He thinks it's unnecessary to include the nation and business.
He went on to say that since everyone was seeking fame for the right reasons, it was nothing to be ashamed of. "You're not becoming famous because of the way you look; rather, you're becoming famous because someone, somewhere, values what you've accomplished."
Some sharks have previously claimed that they joined the show to show people that entrepreneurship is a viable career path, particularly for women. The show's second season has been revealed.
