Indore: Former Madhya Pradesh Ranji captain and all-rounder Ashok Jagdale passed away at the age of 76 in Indore on Monday. A member of his family reported this. Jagdale's younger brother and former Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary Sanjay Jagdale said his elder brother Ashok Jagdale had fainted after bleeding from his nose late on Sunday night and was admitted to a private hospital in the city.

At the same time, he said that his health deteriorated due to internal bleeding and the doctors could not save his life. Ashok Jagdale had scored 2,954 runs in 76 first-class matches with four centuries and also took 182 wickets. He used to bowl spin balls with his right hand and later he served the state team as a medium-pace bowler.

At the same time when the Central Zone team won the Duleep Trophy, it was largely due to the all-rounder performance of Jagdale and Salim Durrani. Everyone is shocked by his sudden demise and many people has also expressed grief. This is a big loss for the sports world.
