Ashok Saraf is seen in many films and shows. Ashok Saraf was born on 4 June 1947 in Chikhalwadi, South Mumbai. His father was in the business of import-export. When Ashok Saraf was young, his father wanted him to take a job in the education department, but Ashok wanted to be an actor. Swinging between the father's hopes and his dreams, Ashok accepted a job in a bank.

After that, he also worked at the State Bank of India for ten years. But at the same time, he kept his hobby alive too and he kept on doing drama. In his acting career he achieved a different position in comedy, starting with the role of a clown. In a play based on Khandekar's wonderful book 'Yayati', he became a clown.

After that he became famous. His first film was 'Donhi Gharcha Paahuna' (guest of both houses), which came in 1971. The film journey started but it took four years to for him to be successful. He got success in Dada Kondke's iconic film 'Pandu Havaldar' which came in the year 1975 and after that, he never looked back. He also played a strong role in 'Karan Arjun' 'Yes Boss' 'Singham' 'Joru Ka Ghulam' and today he has made a great place in everyone's hearts.
