Ashutosh Rana is one of the most renowned and scary villains in Bollywood. Ashutosh Rana is famous for his realistic and terrifying acting. Ashutosh Rana born in Gadarwara, Madhya Pradesh . He has worked in several hit Hindi films and Telugu Film. He finished his Primary School education in Gadarwara and used to play the role of ravana in the city Ramleela. Although Ashutosh Rana is famous for his cruel characters in film he is very calm and poetic person in real life. On his birthday let us recall an interesting incident about him.

Ashutosh Rana pursued acting course from the National School of Drama. After passing out, he was offered a good salary job in NSD itself. But he decided to leave this and go to Mumbai to pursue his passion for acting. Ashutosh has no work after in Mumbai. He remained unemployed for a long time. Ashustosh once went to meet producer-director Mahesh Bhatt for work.

After his meeting with Mahesh Bhatt, Ashutosh touched his feet as per Indian tradition, which enraged Mahesh Bhatt and Ashutosh thrown forced him out of the film set as he did not like touching feet.  Whenever Mahesh Bhatt meets or is seen anywhere, he catches up and touches his feet.

One day Mahesh Bhatt asked him why he touches his feet when he hates it. Ashutosh replied that touching the feet of elders is in his sansker which he cannot leave. Mahesh Bhatt hugged him on this and gave him the first role  as a villain in aTV serial 'Swabhiman'.

Ashutosh worked with Mahesh Bhatt in many films, in which 'Zakhm', 'Dushman' are prominent. Ashutoshappeared in many serials like Farz, Saazish, Kabhi Kabhi, Waris etc. He started his film career with the movie Dushman", playing a psychopath killer, and after that worked in many films such as Raaz, Haasil, Kasoor, LOC, Ab ke baras, Gunaah. Ashutosh Rana and Nana Patekar hold the record for the most number of Filmfare Awards won in the Best Villain category with 2 each. Also, Rana both the awards consecutively for DUSHMAN[1999] and SANGHARSH[2000].
