New Delhi [India], Aug 21 (NT): Indian Star wrestler Vinesh Phogat bagged a gold medal in women's 50 kg freestyle wrestling category at the ongoing 2018 Asian Games.

Haling the golden girl PM Modi said India rejoices in the win of Vinesh Phogat

“Another tournament, another medal! India rejoices in the victory of @Phogat_Vinesh. Congratulations to her on winning the Gold in the 50Kg wrestling event at the @asiangames2018. Vinesh's repeated success will surely inspire upcoming athletes”, PM Modi tweeted.

President Ramnath Kovind appreciated a proud moment and taking to twitter said,

“Congratulations @Phogat_Vinesh on winning the Gold Medal in 50 kg freestyle wrestling at the #AsianGames2018. A proud moment for you, for Haryana, and for all of India! #PresidentKovind”.

Haryana girl Vinesh Phogat also acclaimed from superstar Amitabh Bachchan to Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan.  All the stars have come in harmony to laud the achievements of the golden girl.

The 23-year-old beat her Japanese opponent Yuki Irie to become the first female gold medal winner at the Asiad.

Big B tweeted to congratulate Phogat and said she has made everyone proud.

On the other hand, Aamir Khan admired Vinesh by reiterating his well-known dialogue "Mhaari chhoriyan chhoron se kam hai ke" from 'Dangal' -a film which was based on the Phogat sisters.

He wrote on his Twitter handle, "Congratulations Vinesh for winning the Gold in the Asian Games. We are all so proud of you. Love, Aamir and the team of Dangal. Mhaari chhoriyan chhoron se kam hai ke!"
