TINSUKIA: Recently on Saturday, a joint team of Margherita and Digboi excise officials raided Bordumsa Bazar, Pengeree Chariali, inside the Digboi Excise Circle and detained Sanjay Nayak of Pengeree Chariali.

Officials recovered 7.80 litres of beer, 15.915 litres of IMFL (marked for sale only in Assam) and 23.565 litres of IMFL (marked for sale only in Arunachal Pradesh) during the raid, and an Assam Excise Act, 2018 case was filed.

Under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Excise, Prasanta Dutta, Satyam Priyom, Inspector of Excise, Digboi, and Anuwar Hussain, Assistant Excise Inspector, Margherita, led the operation.
