Guwahati: The impact of Wednesday morning's earthquake across the northeast, including Assam, is now visible on the ground as well. Walls have been erected at many places and people stood outside their homes for a long time. Meanwhile, the Assam government has issued a helpline number on which information can be given about the damage caused by the earthquake. Well, the damage is being assessed and a series of help has begun.

Tell us that there were several tremors across the northeast including Assam on Wednesday morning. The intensity of the fastest shock was 6.4 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was Sonitpur in Assam. The earthquake has caused cracks in several buildings in Guwahati city. It is being assessed by a team of SDRF and police. Several pictures and videos of the devastation caused by the earthquake in Assam are also going viral. A video in these videos is going viral fiercely.

The video is said to be from a building in Guwahati where the water tank broke down due to the earthquake. After that, the whole water came into the room through the ceiling. However, the buzz was that there were no casualties. The first tremor was felt in Assam at 7.51 pm with a magnitude of 6.4. After that 6 aftershocks were felt for about two and a half hours. Its intensity ranged from 3.2 to 4.7. People became more frightened after the aftershocks. People were scared for about four to five hours.
