3 arrested in Asom Mian Parishad case, AAP's terror connection revealed

Guwahati: The 'Mian Museum', which has been sealed in Assam, has not only violated land and property laws but its members have also been found to have links with terror outfits. Three people, including the chief and general secretary of the 'Asom Mian Parishad', have been arrested for their links with Al Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and Ansarul Bangla Team (ABT).

The controversial 'Mian Museum' was unearthed in a house allotted under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) at Dapkabhita in Assam's Goalpara district. Which was sealed by the administration on Tuesday (October 25). After this, the Mian Parishad case has been revealed. M Mohar Ali, the head of Mian Parishad, has been arrested by the police from the museum at Dapkabhita in Goalpara district. Mohar Ali was sitting on a dharna with his two minor sons to open the museum. Mohar is a suspended government school teacher.  

At the same time, its general secretary Abdul Baten Sheikh was detained from his residence in Alamganj in Dhubri district on Tuesday (October 25, 2022) night. Apart from this, the third accused is Tanu Dhadumiya. Tanu, a former leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and a member of the Ahom Royal Society, inaugurated the museum on 23 October 2022. Police have detained Tanu from her residence in Kawamari village of Dibrugarh. However, AAP says that Tanu has been thrown out of the party.
