Former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, closed his eyes at 5.05 on the evening of August 16 at the AIIMS Delhi.

 As per the information provided, he was in an unwell state of health for a long time and since last few days he was admitted to AIIMS hospital in Delhi, after which he passed away. As of now, he is on his last journey. During his lifetime, he had accomplished several great works and had a keen interest in the field of arts.

He was very fond of watching movies and his write-ups were used in various Bollywood movies. He had a very good bond with several Bollywood celebrities.

Atalji was excellent at writing and also a great politician. He had a keen interest in Bollywood and Hollywood films. Some of his favorite, Bollywood and Hollywood movies include 'Third Kasam, Bandini and Devdas', while talking about Hollywood, 'The Bridge on the River Kwai', 'Born Free' and ‘Gandhi’. He used to love watching movies and listening to songs.

He really adored Lata Mangeshkar and Rafi as singers. The song 'O ray', from the movie Bandini, was loved by Atal Ji.

It is said that he loved the movie "Sita and Geeta" featuring Hema Malini, so much that he had watched it about 25 times.
