Shivam alias Shubham, Himanshu alias Golu and Bobby, who were accused of stealing Rs 6.27 lakh by unlocking the ATM of Syndicate Bank in Padma Business Park, Sector 12 of Housing Development Colony, were sent to jail on Saturday. Bankman Shivam told that the manager had given him a mobile to update the KYC of the customers on June 10, then he had seen the password of the ATM. He needed money to spend on his girlfriend. Police inquiries revealed that Ravi Pathak, the manager of Syndicate Bank, kept the password of the ATM on the WhatsGroup of the bank officials. The group has large bank officials attached to it. Shivam knew about this.

On 10 June, while the manager came to withdraw money, the manager gave his mobile, he saw the password from the group. Shivam used to get about 17 thousand rupees in the bank. He was unable to meet the expenses in this money. He also has a girlfriend. He wanted a large sum of money to spend on it. That is why he made a plan to steal money from ATM. Shivam tells Himanshu to open the lock and password. Himanshu went to the ATM, the other two stood a bit away from there. After the theft, the trio left for their respective homes. Rupees were hidden at Bobby's house. Inspector Rajesh Kumar Sharma, in-charge of Police Station Jagdishpura said that the accused have been sent to jail. Shivam's father is also a Class IV employee in Syndicate Bank. Three years ago he recommended the manager for son's job.

He returned home in lockdown. During this time a fire incident occurred in the press. Both stopped getting a salary. According to Himanshu, he needed the money for lobbying in the old case. He got involved in robbery scheme to make arrangements. Accused Bobby's father is ill. He has not been able to work for many years due to fracture in his leg. The mother works in homes. The family was struggling with financial constraints. Friend Shivam told him about the theft. Said that they will keep half the amount. Bobby is tempted.
