'Attack on Durga Pandals was well planned.' says Bangladesh Home Minister

Dhaka: Country's Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal's statement on the attack on Durga Puja pandals in Cumilla, Bangladesh has surfaced. He has said that we are taking the incident in Cumilla very seriously. Home Minister Asaduzzaman has said bluntly that the conspiracy behind the entire incident is revealed.

He further said that if we look at this incident in-depth, these incidents took place not only in Cumilla, in Ramu and also in Nasir Nagar. He said the purpose behind these incidents was to create a chaotic atmosphere by creating tension. Asdujzaman Kamal said, "Our countrymen are not fanatics. We have never allowed a terrorist atmosphere to arise here and Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs have all come together to fight terrorist incidents and people. Even after Cumilla, there have been several incidents of violence at various places. As happened in Noakhali, four people lost their lives in Chandpur. Moreover, there has been violence in Feni and there has been violence in Cox's Bazar. All these were minor incidents, but the deaths took place in Chandpur and Noakhali.''

Expressing grief over the casualties of the incidents, Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, "We are sure that these incidents have been done to create a planned unstable situation and to break the brotherhood of our country.''
