Kishanganj: A shocking incident of liquor smuggling has once again come to light from Bihar. Here in Kishanganj, smuggling through vans has been exposed. Police have recovered 370 litres of liquor from the van. One person has also been arrested. The seized liquor was being transported from Dalkola in Bengal to Supaul. Actually, the sadar police station team had received the news of liquor smuggling. On this, the anti-liquor cell team along with the police force reached near the block chowk to check the vehicles. Due to this, the police saw that the smugglers had made a basement in the van. It was filled with alcohol, which was recovered by the police. One person was also arrested. He told the police that he was asked to cross the Mojabari bridge by loading liquor in the van. The criminal was changing the statement repeatedly to dodge the police. Earlier in March, 325 litres of foreign liquor was seized in a joint raid by muzaffarpur police and DIU police in Bihar. The liquor was being transported in two luxury cars. Also, 7 persons were arrested from the spot. In this, two big liquor mafias of Haryana were involved.
In fact, the DIU had received news that two luxury cars were bringing liquor from Haryana. These cars will go to Sheohar and Darbhanga via Muzaffarpur. Subsequently, the DIU team and sadar police station team laid a siege along with the troops. Seeing the car coming from the front, the police signalled him to stop. However, the smugglers tried to escape. Subsequently, the police team chased and nabbed a car. A liquor smuggler was also sitting in it, on whose instructions the police raided Darbhanga and Sheohar area and caught another car. The police had seized around 325 litres of foreign liquor from the two cars.
