AgustaWestland case: CM Kamal Nath's nephew Ratul Puri on 6-day ED remand

New Delhi: Ratul Puri, imprisoned in jail for money laundering case related to AgustaWestland helicopter scam case, has been sent on 6 days Enforcement Directorate (ED) remand by Rouse Avenue Court. Let me tell you that after the ED's remand period ended in the 354 crore bank fraud case, the court sent Puri to judicial custody for 14 days.

It is noteworthy that on 3 September, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) arrested Ratul Puri, nephew of Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath, in a case of bank fraud. Ratul Puri was sent to judicial custody till 17 September by the court. Meanwhile, his lawyers appealed to the court to provide necessary services in jail to his client.

The lawyers told the court that proper arrangements for bedding should be made for the sleeping of Ratul Puri, with which the medicines written by the doctors should be provided in the jail. The court also ordered the jail superintendent to provide medicine to the accused after instructing the visiting doctor of the jail. Apart from this, on the demand for other facilities, the court said that the jail superintendent can consider his appeal as per the rules.
