Shahdol: 16 workers of Shahdol and Umaria districts of Madhya Pradesh who lost their lives in Aurangabad train accident were cremated in their villages on Saturday. 9 dead bodies and two others are buried in their villages in Antauli village of Shahdol. In Neusa village of Umaria, the funeral pyre of four laborers was burnt together and the funeral of another laborer was performed at village Chillari. The bodies of 11 laborers were brought to Shahdol railway station at 4 o'clock on Saturday evening by special train. From here, 9 bodies from ambulances were sent to Antauli, one each to Shahgarh and Bairaha villages and were buried. Earlier, five bodies were landed at Umaria railway station.

Due to corona infection, all the bodies were kept very carefully. After identifying all the dead bodies, a name chit was placed on them. When it came time to bury the dead body, the names were read to their relatives and they were given the opportunity to perform the final salutation from a distance. The relatives kept demanding to see the face for the last time, but the administration did not let them go to the dead body. ASP statue S.
