India's shooter Avani Lekhara is celebrating her birthday today. Avani Lekhara has won many medals for India. Indian Paralympic shooter Avani Lekhara hails from Jaipur. Her father's name is Praveen Lekhara and her mother's name is Shweta Lekhara. Avani's father Praveen Lakhera is working in Gagannagar on a post of RAS in the revenue department.

Avani met with an accident in 2012. When Avani was 11 years old, she had an accident while going from Jaipur to Dholpur with her father. Avani's father recovered from the accident but Avani suffered a broken spine. Even after being in a wheelchair at a young age, she did not give up. Avani was inspired by her father to go to sports. She first tried her hand at both shooting and archery. She found shooting tremendous. She was also inspired to read the book by Beijing Olympics 2008 gold meld winner Abhinav Bindra.

She started shooting at Jagatpura Sports Complex in Jaipur in 2015. Law student Avani made her Debut for India in the World Cup 2017 in UAE. Avani is the third Indian woman to win a medal at the Paralympic Games.
