New Delhi: Social activist Ajay Gautam has written a letter to Supreme Court Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi in the Ayodhya Ram Temple and Babri Masjid case. Ajay Gautam has asked for 5 minutes permission to debate the matter. Ajay Gautam said that he believed that Lord Shri Ram was born in a disputed place. He want to put some historical evidence before the court, so he should be allowed to argue before the constitution bench hearing the case.

Earlier, Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi had set October 17 as the deadline to complete the debate. As the time-limit for ending the debate gets closer, the expectation of a heated debate within the court has also increased. A constitutional bench of five judges, headed by Ranjan Gogoi, had hoped to hear it on Saturday if necessary.

During the hearing on Tuesday, a fierce debate took place between the lawyers of Hindu and Muslim parties. Senior advocate C.S., appearing on behalf of Lord Ram. The Muslim parties intervened after Vaidyanathan backed his case in support of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), on which Chief Justice Gogoi, who was proceeding with the case with patience, told the counsel for the Muslim side to repeat the same thing again and again.
