Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is reaching in Ayodhya today to oversee arrangements. This comes ahead of the January 22 event. Adityanath plans to oversee the groundwork preceding PM Modi’s scheduled visit to Ayodhya on Saturday, December 30.
The Chief Minister is slated to reach Ayodhya around 11:30 a.m., starting with a visit to Sri Hanumangarhi for a ceremonial prayer. Following this, he will proceed to Sri Ram Janmbhoomi. At noon, Adityanath will inspect the arrangements at the temple site. Between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., he will convene a meeting with officials involved in planning for PM Modi’s imminent visit before returning to Lucknow.
In related developments, the Ayodhya railway junction in Uttar Pradesh has been renamed as Ayodhya Dham junction, according to local MP Lallu Singh's announcement on Wednesday. This renaming, done in line with public sentiments and under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, precedes the inauguration of the redeveloped railway station.
Prime Minister Modi is expected to visit Ayodhya on December 30 for the inauguration of the revamped Ayodhya station and the newly constructed airport. Additionally, on January 22, he will partake in the consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple. During his visit, PM Modi is anticipated to participate in a roadshow. Various prominent religious institutions and temples in the town are preparing special arrangements to welcome him. The Prime Minister will also flag off a Vande Bharat Express train, address a public gathering, and oversee the progress of the ongoing Ram Temple construction.
In conjunction with the celebrations for the Ram Mandir, workers from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are planning door-to-door campaigns across all villages in the country, starting January 1. Their aim is to encourage participation in Diya Lighting programs for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
