The chief priest of the Ram Mandir announced that Ayodhya's Ram temple will close for an hour every afternoon starting from Friday. the temple trust has further extended the 'darshan' timings from 6 am to 10 pm. This decision was made due to the large number of devotees visiting after the consecration ceremony.

This decision comes as the temple trust has extended the 'darshan' timings from 6 am to 10 pm due to the increased influx of devotees after the consecration ceremony.

Previously, before the consecration ceremony, the temple was open for 'darshan' from 7 am to 6 pm, with a two-hour break in the afternoon from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

Explaining the decision, Chief Priest Acharya Satyendra Das stated, "Shri Ram Lalla is treated as a five-year-old child and cannot endure staying awake for such long hours. To ensure the deity gets some rest, the trust has decided to close the temple doors from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm for the deity to rest."

Since January 23, the deity has been awoken at 4 am for morning rituals, followed by a two-hour period before devotees are allowed 'darshan', continuing until 10 pm.

The consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya occurred on January 22 in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thousands of VVIPs, including politicians, cricketers, industrialists, and spiritual leaders.

The temple opened to the general public for 'darshan' on January 23, with over a million devotees and pilgrims visiting since then to offer prayers and seek blessings from Lord Ram Lalla.

Recently, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann visited the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Both AAP leaders, along with their spouses and family members, spent approximately one hour and 15 minutes at the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. Kejriwal, who was invited to the January 22 consecration ceremony, expressed his desire to visit the temple later with his family.
