Among the key projects slated for inauguration are the Ayodhya airport, railway station, a newly constructed highway, and the doubling of a railway line. Additionally, the Prime Minister will also unveil four major roads as part of these initiatives.
Here is the full schedule of PM Modi's visit to Ayodhya:
11:15 am: The Prime Minister will kickstart the day by inaugurating the revamped Ayodhya Railway Station. He will also flag off the new Amrit Bharat trains and Vande Bharat trains. Several other railway projects will be dedicated to the nation during this time.
12:15 pm: Modi will then proceed to inaugurate the brand-new Ayodhya Airport.
1 pm: Following these inaugurations, he will take part in a public event where he will unveil, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over Rs. 15,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh. This includes initiatives amounting to Rs. 11,100 crore focused on the development of Ayodhya and its surrounding regions, along with projects worth Rs. 4,600 crore for other parts of the state.
Notable among these infrastructure projects are:
Ayodhya Airport: The first phase of this modern airport has been constructed at a cost exceeding Rs. 1,450 crore. The terminal building, spanning 6,500 sqm, is designed to accommodate around 1 million passengers annually. Its architectural facade mirrors the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir of Ayodhya. Additionally, the terminal boasts several sustainable features such as insulated roofing, LED lighting, rainwater harvesting, landscaping, water and sewage treatment plants, and a solar power system aiming for a 5-star rating from GRIHA. This airport is expected to significantly enhance connectivity, fostering tourism, commerce, and employment opportunities in the area.
Ayodhya Dham Railway Station: Phase I of the renovated Ayodhya Railway Station, known as Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, has been developed at a cost exceeding Rs. 240 crore. This modern three-story station incorporates amenities like lifts, escalators, food plazas, shops for religious needs, cloakrooms, child care rooms, and waiting halls. The station is designed to be accessible to all and is certified as a green station building by IGBC.
Amrit Bharat Express Trains: These specially designed trains promise a smooth and 'jerk-free' journey between Darbhanga in Bihar and Anand Vihar in Delhi, passing through Ayodhya, Malda Town in West Bengal, and Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminus in Bengaluru. Utilizing semi-coupler technology, an innovative method in train operations, these trains ensure a comfortable ride by minimizing jerks when starting and stopping, running at a maximum speed of 130 km/h.
PM Modi's visit and the inauguration of these projects mark a significant step towards bolstering infrastructure and connectivity, promising substantial growth for Ayodhya and Uttar Pradesh at large.
