All the remaining 32 accused have been declared exonerated. The judge, while pronouncing the verdict, said that whatever happened on 6th December 1992 was not a pre-planned incident. The incident was accidental. The bench said that no evidence has been found against the culprits.

The court in their verdict said that on the day of the incident, the VHP and its current president, late Ashok Singhal, had also tried to stop the mob. The bench also mentioned a video of Ashok Singhal in the verdict. The special judge said that all the culprits who were present there tried to stop the Karsevaks. There was no evidence to prove that there was a conspiracy behind it.

Delivering the verdict, Justice Surendra Kumar Yadav said that stone pelting started from behind the disputed structure at 12 noon on 6th December 1992.  Ashok Singhal wanted to protect the structure because there were sculptures in the structure.
