Lucknow: Industrialist Gautam Adani announced on Friday that the Adani Foundation would extend support to ensure proper medical treatment for a young girl named Lovely from Lakhimpur Kheri district in Uttar Pradesh.

Lovely, who hails from Kandharapur village in the district, has faced significant challenges since childhood due to a deformity in her left leg and hand. Despite these adversities, Lovely has shown remarkable resilience and continues her studies with determination, being raised by her grandparents after her father remarried following her mother's demise.

Expressing solidarity with Lovely and her family, Gautam Adani, in a post on social media platform X, emphasized the unfortunate loss of a daughter's childhood under such circumstances. He pledged the support of the Adani Foundation to ensure Lovely receives the necessary treatment and can progress alongside other children.

The initiative by the Adani Foundation comes in response to a tweet by journalist, who highlighted Lovely's plight and questioned who would address the pain of her childhood.

This gesture aims to provide Lovely with access to quality medical care and support, enabling her to lead a healthier and more promising life. The Adani Foundation, the community engagement arm of the Adani Group, has been dedicated to making strategic social investments for sustainable outcomes across India since 1996.
