Baiju Paravoor, a Malayalam film industry production executive who was directing his debut film Secret, died in the early hours of Monday. The deceased's family believes that food poisoning was the cause of death. He was 42.

Baiju's family and relatives believe he died as a result of food poisoning.

Baiju has worked on approximately 45 films as a production controller. He was looking forward to the release of his film Secret.

Baiju, who is from Paravoor in Kollam, flew to Kozhikode for a film discussion on Saturday. He ate at a restaurant before returning home. However, on the way back, Baiju became ill and went to his wife's home in Kunnamkulam, where he was treated in a local hospital. He returned home on Sunday and remained ill. The director-producer sought treatment once more at a hospital in Kuzhuppilly, but when his condition worsened, he was transferred to a private hospital in Kochi. On Monday, he breathed his last
