The crime case that has come up recently is from Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. A case of rape after an alleged abduction has been filed against a lekhpal posted there. According to the information received in this case, Lekhpal Naraini was posted in Pungri village under police station of Kotwali. On Monday, according to the FIR lodged by the victim in Kotwali on Monday, Inspector-in-Charge of Police (SHO) Girindra Singh said on Tuesday that the incident occurred with the 18-year-old Dalit girl at around 6 am on Saturday, but the matter was reported two days later on Monday. 

In this case, he further said that on Saturday, the girl was sweeping her door, when Lekhpal (revenue worker) Sushil Patel, posted in Pungri village, arrived from his jeep with two unknown accomplices and forcibly took the girl in a jeep. The girl's mother tried to save her, but she was pushed and dropped. In this case, the SHO also stated that "the victim stated in her complaint that Lekhpal raped her in a moving jeep and she jumped out of the jeep because of stray animals sitting in the road near Hanuman temple."

Talking further with this, she said that "the accused has been booked against the victim's complaint Aadhaarpal Sushil Patel and his two unknown accomplices by registering a case under sections 376B, 323, 504, 364 and several sections of SCST Act. It is being punished for arrest. ”Not only this, the victim has been sent to a government hospital for medical examination today.
