Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs V Muralidharan has recently targeted Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy over the ban on Ganesh Utsav. Recently, he said, "The State Government is insulting the deep traditions of India. Banning Ganesh Utsav is like insulting the rich tradition of the country.'' Let me tell you that this statement of the BJP Minister came after the YSRCP government banned the Chaturthi festival.

In fact, in his tweets, Muralitharan said, "First Hindu temples are attacked. Now banning Ganesh Utsav the government of @ysjagan is bent on destroying Hindu culture. Ganesh Utsav is a national festival that symbolizes unity. Restricting it is an insult to the rich traditions of India. Shame on you! People will never forgive this move.'' In another tweet, the minister claimed, "Raising a voice on behalf of the people or harassing BJP workers to arrest leaders will never diminish their commitment.''

He also said, "Once the British tried to do the same through their anti-people legislation of 1892, Lokmanya gave a befitting reply on Ganesh Utsav. @BJP4Andhra will also continue to fight for the people and protect India's traditions.'' Let me tell all of you that the auspicious day of Ganesh Utsav is going to begin from 10th September in India and during these ten days people will worship Lord Ganesha and seek his blessings.
