Amaravati: The Jaganmohan Reddy government is oppressing the backward classes in the state by depriving them of huge benefits, the ruling party is using them as vote banks and politically suppressing them in every possible way. Addressing a meeting with BC leaders, TDP National President N Chandrababu Naidu said that it was during the TDP government itself that a strong foundation was laid for the overall development of BC in the socio-economic spheres.

He said that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has done a great injustice to the backward classes by reducing their political reservation. At the same time, the TDP did everything possible from the very beginning to strengthen the BC leaders at various levels. Political reservations were provided for the purpose of ensuring the overall development of the backward classes. Key positions such as TTD President and APIIC President were given to BCs during the TDP regime. He said that the present CM has given all the top posts to his own social group, while giving non-priority and insignificant corporation posts to the leaders of the backward classes.

He criticized the Chief Minister for implementing his personal agenda through volunteers up to the village level. BC was being divided on political lines. Nethana Nestam was given only 70,000 while all others were deprived of it. A weaver committed suicide in Madanapalle on Handloom Day itself. The TDP chief told party leaders that a special federation has been planned to extend full support to BC. Political opportunities will be created in 56 corporations by identifying BCs at the assembly constituency and mandal level. All steps will be taken to increase the representation of all 139 BC castes.
