New Delhi: Every year, the whole world eagerly awaits IPL. The world's most exciting T20 league is now a few days left to start. Every franchisee has started their preparations. BCCI is also fully prepared, but this time many new rules will be seen in the 14th season. The board has decided to remove the on-field soft signal by making major changes. At the same time, each team will have to finish their innings within 90 minutes.

According to Cricbuzz, 'BCCI has sent a mail to all the eight IPL teams, which explains all these changes. The 20th over of each innings will have to be ended in 90 minutes for the purpose of completing the match within the stipulated time, the first rule was to start the 20th over at 90th minute. In delayed or interruptioned bouts, where 20 overs are not in the stipulated time, it can have 4 minutes 15 seconds extra for each over.'

If any team is found wasting the moment, the fourth umpire's roll will be important. They have been given powers to enforce the revised over-rate rules as punishment and warn the batting side. Regarding the soft signal rule, BCCI said the on-field umpire's signal will not affect the third umpire's decision.
