New Delhi: The Beating Retreat ceremony to be held at Vijay Chowk in the country's capital Delhi today i.e. Sunday (January 29) evening will be full of tunes based on Indian classical music. Officials have told that during this time the country's biggest drone show will also be organized, in which 3,500 indigenous drones will be included.
The Ministry of Defense has said in a statement that during the grand event at Vijay Chowk on Sunday, for the first time, various figures will be displayed through colorful lights on the facade of North Block and South Block. It is noteworthy that the Beating Retreat ceremony marks the formal end of the Republic Day celebrations. The ministry said that tunes based on Indian classical ragas will be the main attraction of the Beating the Retreat ceremony this year. President Draupadi Murmu will grace the function.
29 captivating tunes will be played by music bands from the Army, Navy, Air Force, State Police, and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), said a Defense Ministry statement. It said that PM Narendra Modi and Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will also attend the ceremony. During this, the country's biggest drone show will also be organized, which will include 3,500 indigenous drones.
The spectacular drone show will light up Raisina Hill in the evening and feature a myriad of national figures, weaving the events through seamless synchronization, the statement said. It states that this will pave the way for the success of the start-up ecosystem, the technical skills of the country's youth, and the path-breaking trends of the future. The Defense Ministry statement said that the ceremony would begin with "Agniveer" by the mass band, followed by "Almora", "Kedar Nath", "Sangam Door", "Satpura Ki Rani", "Bhagirathi", "Konkan". Sundari" pipe and drum band will play enchanting tunes.
