Actress Vidya Malvade, popularly known as Chak De Girl in Bollywood, is celebrating her 49th birthday today. Vidya Malvade was born on March 2, 1973 in Mumbai (Maharashtra) . Vidya has also become an air hostess before coming to Movies. Vidya started her acting career with Vikram Bhatt's  movie 'Inteha', but she could not do anything special at the box office. He was accompanied by Ashmit Patel in the movie.

Vidya Malvade's 2007 movie 'Chak De India' gave her a different identity and her name became very popular overnight. Vidya also played the role of Minissha Lamba's mother in the movie 'Kidnap' after 'Chak De', although the movie did not work as well. Vidya has also played the role of Aftab Shivdasani's sister in the horror movie '1920: The Evil Returns'. Vidya had also done a cameo in the lead and side roles as well as in the movie 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Again'.
 
Along with movies, Vidya has also worked on TV in serials like 'Family No. 1', 'Fear Factor' and 'Darr Sabko Lagta Hai'. Vidya was married to Arvind Singh Bagga in 2002 but after his death, Vidya married Sanjay Diama, who was the screenplay writer and associate director of Ashutosh Gowerkar's movie 'Lagaan'. According to reports, Vidya appeared in the role of a police officer in the second season of ZEE5's web series Kali. Not only this, Vidya Malvade has become an yogini and takes yoga workshops not only in India but all over the world. Along with this, Vidya has also appeared in some short films.
