New Delhi: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari had said in a recent statement that 'Under the new policy, many benefits to buyers who choose to scrap (scrap) their old and polluting vehicles while buying a new vehicle will be given.' Indeed, he has recently said that 'This will increase the turnover of the Indian automobile industry by 30 percent to Rs 10 lakh crore in the coming years. The policy of scrap policy has been announced in Budget 2021-22.'

It is also believed that this will help the auto industry to overcome the adverse effects of the covid-19 epidemic. Under the new Scrap Policy (Voluntary Vehicle Junk Policy) there will be a 'fitness test' of individual or private vehicles in 20 years and commercial vehicles in 15 years. Recently, Nitin Gadkari has also said that "Customers who choose to scrap their vehicles will be given some benefit from the manufacturer." In fact, the scrapping policy will prove beneficial. This will not only give an impetus to the economy but will also benefit the automobile industry as well as help in reducing pollution of vehicles.

Along with this, he has also said, 'He will soon release the details of this policy.' He hoped that in the coming days, the auto industry will be included in the most employment generating sectors. He further said about the policy is voluntary, 'It has a provision for green tax and other charges. Such vehicles will also have to undergo rigorous automated fitness tests.
