It was reported sometime back that Bengaluru FC head coach Naushad Moosa believes star player Sunil Chhetri will stay with the Blues and finish his career in Bengaluru. In the post-match press conference, Musa said, "As far as Sunil (Chhetri) is concerned, I doubt he wants to leave Bengaluru FC. He will finish (his career) at Bengaluru FC. Feeling what he is to the club for seven years, I am sure he will be associated with the club. He further said, the idea was to give time to the youth, things did not work out. There were three opening goals. That's what we had to change. We were almost there then.

Bengaluru FC wrapped up the seventh season of the Indian Super League (ISL) with a loss against Jamshedpur FC at the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco on Thursday. Jamshedpur, playing for sixth place with both sides, won despite a spirited second-half show from Bengaluru, finishing seventh. With nothing to lose, Bengaluru allowed the young players to take the lead in the match against Jamshedpur FC. But the inexperienced defense saw him concede three goals in the first half.
