Amritsar: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal has made a surprising claim about Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Sukhbir Badal has claimed that CM Bhagwant Mann was offloaded from a Lufthansa Airlines flight. According to Sukhbir,  the airlines did so because Bhagwant Mann was so drunk that he could not even stand. Badal made the claim by citing media reports. At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has termed the reports of CM Mann being offloaded from the plane as baseless.

In fact, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann had recently visited Germany. "Shocking media reports quoting his fellow passengers have come to light that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was offloaded from Lufthansa Airlines as he had consumed too much alcohol. Due to this, the flight was delayed by four hours. He said that this report is embarrassing for Punjabi's all over the world.

Sukhbir Badal further wrote in his tweet that, shockingly, the Government of Punjab is silent on such a report brought by CM Mann. AAP president Arvind Kejriwal should clarify this matter. The Government of India should step in as it is an issue of Punjabi and national pride. If he is offloaded, the Indian government should take up the issue with its German counterpart. At the same time, Brickham Singh Majithia has also targeted Bhagwant Mann in this case.

Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa demanded a probe into the reports. Reports claim that CM Bhagwant Mann was offloaded from the plane in Frankfurt because he was so drunk that he was not in a position to travel. He has sought to take up the issue with Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to find out why.
