INDORE: Malwa Utsav will perform Bharatanatyam and Mohiniattam dance under the leadership of Dr. Ashish Pillai, artist of Drupad Academy from 8 pm on May 13.

The first part of this 20-minute presentation is from the Hindi composition "Shankara Sri Giri" by Maharaja Sri Swati Tirunal of Kerala, composed in the raga Shankarabharanam.

An attempt has been made to show the unique art love of Lord Shiva by interweaving the dance of Lord Shiva's Angharas described in Chari and South Indian temples from Natya Shastra.

Shiva is dear to sound and the world is moving due to the noise coming out of his drum. Tillana dance will show the combination between Naad and Swara, Taal and Laya. In the Mohiniyattam dance form, Mahadev Shiva Shambu depicts the beauty and makeup of the Lord. In the end there is a jugal bandi presentation of both the dance styles.
