Mumbai: Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi aka Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal of the popular television comedy show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is reported to have filed a case of sexual harassment against the show's producer Asit Kumar Modi. Jennifer says that Asit has asked her for sexual favors several times.
However, she initially ignored things. She was afraid that she would stop getting work. Jennifer went on to say that the atmosphere on the sets of the show is very 'male chauvinist'. Everyone works there as a laborer. Actor Mandar Chandwadkar, who played the role of 'Bhide' in the show, has reacted to these allegations of Jennifer. In one of his interviews, he said that I am wondering why did he do this? I do not know at all what has happened between the two and what has happened. Responding to Jennifer's comment, Mandar said – There is no 'male chauvinist' atmosphere on the set. Rather, there is a very good atmosphere. Healthy environment remains. I understand that if there was no good atmosphere on the sets, the show would not have run for 14 years.
Talking to a media portal, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal told that from the beginning Asit ji used to say many times, you are looking very nice. He once asked me what do you drink. Whiskey, I said boldly. Then he used to tell me again and again, come, let's drink whiskey. But in 2019, our entire team went to Singapore. There, Asit Modi said to me on March 8 – Come, let's drink whiskey in my room. I was surprised to hear this from him. Then a day later he said - You are looking very beautiful. I feel like holding and kissing me. I started trembling after hearing his words. I told two of my colleagues about this. One narrated fiercely to Asit Modi. The other tried every time to protect me in front of Asit Modi.
