Padma Shri Ramchandra Manjhi, an associate of Bhikhari Thakur, who is called the Shakespeare of Bhojpuri, has passed away. Ramchandra Manjhi, who gave international recognition to Launda Naach, breathed his last late on Wednesday night at IGIMS Hospital in Patna. In fact, he was struggling with the problem of heart blockage and infection. Let us tell you that Ramchandra Manjhi was a resident of Saran district and the biggest and sad thing is that his last time was cut in Mufalisi. There is a wave of mourning in the field of Bhojpuri art due to his death. Ramchandra Manjhi, a resident of Tujarpur in the Marhaura assembly constituency of Saran district, was admitted to IGIMS in Patna on the initiative of minister Jitendra Kumar Rai in a critical condition. He was undergoing treatment at IGIMS, where he breathed his last late at night.

Ramchandra Manjhi joined the drama troupe of famous Bhojpuri artist Bhikhari Thakur at the age of 10. He was a member of Bhikhari Thakur's Naach troupe for 30 years. Let us tell you that Ramchandra Manjhi gave international recognition to Launda Naach. At the same time, when he was awarded the Padma Shri, along with him, Launda Naach also got the honour for which he had been struggling for years. Along with this, he was honoured with many other awards including Sangeet Natak Akademi. However, ironically, no artist from Bihar went to the hospital to see Ramchandra Manjhi in the last 5 days. At the same time, Minister Jitendra Rai went to see him and also helped him financially.

Let us tell you that Jainendra Dost, a culture worker of Chhapra, served Padma Shri Ramchandra Manjhi till the last moment like his son. At the same time, even after getting the Padma Shri award, Ramchandra Majhi and his family continued to face serious financial crises. With this, with the death of Ramchandra Majhi, the golden chapter of the Bhojpuri Launda Naach also closed.
