Recently, the Maharashtra government has announced the opening of theatres. After this announcement, the release date of one film after another is being presented to the fans. Akshay Kumar is also included in the list. The release dates of Akshay Kumar's five films - Suryavanshi, Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey, Raksha Bandhan and Ram Setu have surfaced. However, Akshay's film Atrangi Re is not included in the list.

Though fans are not happy, why didn't an update on Atrangi Re surfaced, though the shooting of Atrangi Re is almost complete and the film is all set for release. Akshay Kumar recently said that ''the team is considering a direct-to-OTT release. However, to be honest, I have not yet included Atrangi Re in the release list because we are still considering whether it is a beautiful one and whether it should be launched on OTT or not.''

However, OTT is a special tool for Atrangi Re. He further revealed that Atrangi Re has teased a story that has never come out. He further said, 'It is very important for me and Anand Rai to choose the right way for the film. The actor has revealed that I am as much for OTT as I am in favour of theatre. What is best for the movie should be decided by the release.''
