New Delhi: There is a great news for the government employees of different states of the country. Actually, the central government has taken a big decision for the employees of the state, and has increased their dearness allowance (DA). Let us tell you that now 42 percent DA is being given by the Central Government, which was earlier 38 percent. Although this increase has been implemented from January 1, 2023, but till now it was not implemented in many states, but now it will be implemented in all states.

Let us tell you that DA is increased twice a year by the Central Government, it is also worth noting that the government had earlier postponed the dearness allowance during the lockdown in view of the circumstances. Let us tell you that the government postpones the dearness allowance only when the economic condition of the country is not good or the country is facing a major crisis. DA is released every six months. This means that the first increment is done in the month of January and the second increment is done in the month of July. Let us tell you that states like Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Assam and Rajasthan have implemented the increased DA in January.

It is worth noting that the Tamil Nadu government has recently increased the DA by four percent. Which means that the dearness allowance there has now gone up from 38 per cent to 42 per cent. This will benefit 16 lakh employees and pensioners. These new rates will be considered applicable from April 1, 2023.
