Ranchi: Amarnath Munda, son of veteran BJP leader Kadia Munda, who was the Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker at one time, joined the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Saturday evening with his supporters. JMM working president Hemant Soren has admitted the membership of JMM to Amarnath and his supporters. With Munda joining the JMM, the BJP has suffered a major setback before the Jharkhand elections.

Let us tell you that Kadia Munda has a good influence in the area. From here, BJP has given the ticket of assembly election to Neelkanth Singh Munda, against whom JMM is in the fray in the alliance. In lieu of not giving ticket to Kadia Munda in the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had given him a lot of assurances. It is said that in those assurances there was talk of giving his son a ticket in the assembly elections.

But in the last assembly elections, Amarnath Munda had also gone to Sudesh Mahato after getting a sign of not getting a ticket. The date of filing of nomination in Peg has passed. It is clear that Munda will now openly support the JMM in the elections. Amarnath Munda said that there has been a lot of bias in the BJP's ticket division. Kadia Munda said that this is a personal decision of the son.
