Actress Jennifer Mistry Beniwal, who made a place in the hearts of the audience by playing the role of Roshan Bhabhi in TV's famous comedy show 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', is in the news these days. Jennifer has accused 'Taarak Mehta...' producer Asit Modi of sexual harassment, after which, the producers called her undisciplined and abusive. In such a situation, now the ex-director of the show Malav Rajda has reacted on this whole matter.
Malav Rajda, former director of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', said on his experience of working with Jennifer, 'Jennifer is one of the happiest people on the sets. She is a happy person and treats everyone well. Be it technical team, direction team, DOP, hair-makeup or co-actors, she had a good rapport with everyone on the sets. I was on set for 14 years and Jennifer never misbehaved with anyone in front of me. She never abuses on the set.'
On behalf of Asit Modi, Jennifer has been called undisciplined, a woman who comes late on the shooting set, etc., to which Malav said, 'As far as claims are being made that she used to come late on the set, I would say that Never in 14 years has it happened that my shoot has suffered because of her. A lot of actors reach the sets late and we are aware of Mumbai's traffic. That's why half an hour late is fine. There have been times when we have extended the shooting time of actors by more than 12 hours from our end. In the last 14 years, my shooting has never suffered due to Jennifer.' Malav told, 'It has happened many times when she (Jennifer) has done her own make-up and hairstyle too so that the shoot is not delayed. She was the one who used to sit and have lunch with all the actors including the men. It was not once or twice, This was her routine. I don't think anybody would talk and sit with someone who would be so disrespectful on the sets. She was very nice and friendly with everyone.'
