Big terrorist attack in Baramulla, 6 civilians injured, search operation continues

Srinagar: Despite heavy deployment of security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, the attacks of terrorists are not taking the name of stopping. The latest attack took place in Baramulla district. Militants attacked security forces with grenades on Wednesday in Singhpora village under Pattan area of Baramulla district. The grenade exploded in the beach market due to missing the target, injuring 6 locals on the spot, including a woman from Handwara. The terrorists escaped from the scene after the attack.

Giving information, an official said that the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital from where they were referred to the SMHS in Srinagar. He said that the injured have been identified as Ghulam Mohammad son Mohammad Ramzan, Gulzar Ahmed Khan son Ghulam Mohiuddin, Manzoor Ahmed Bhat son Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Zubair Ahmed Dar son Aashiq Dar, all of whom are residents of Singhpora. The other two injured include Abdul Rahman Bhat, Tabassum daughter of Dudipora Handwara and Farman Ali of Uttar Pradesh.

After receiving our information, high officials of Police, Army and CRPF reached the spot and took stock of the occasion. A joint search operation was also carried out in the vicinity in search of terrorists.
