Patna: The first phase of nomination for the Bihar assembly elections has started, but in both major alliances, there is a tussle over seat division. In the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Grand Alliance of the Congress, there was a tussle about seat-sharing. According to sources, the screw on seat sharing has now been resolved.

If sources are to be believed, there has been agreement on seat sharing in RJD and Congress. The Congress will field candidates for 70 seats. Today, both parties are expected to announce seat sharing in joint press talks. According to sources, the Congress is also agreed on this formula. It is noteworthy that there was no consensus in the Grand Alliance on seat sharing. The Congress was adamant on demanding more seats, while the RJD was not ready to give that much seats.

Arrows of statements were also being released from both sides amid the ongoing tussle regarding seat sharing. If the Congress had questioned Tejashwi's leadership, then in response, RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari also warned the Congress. Mrityunjay Tiwari had said that Awam of Bihar is riding on Tejashwi's boat. If we try to make a hole in this boat, the Congress will sink itself.
