Aurangabad: A major fire broke out in a mall near Kali Temple in the Obra police station area of Aurangabad district of Bihar on Saturday night. According to the mall owner, the loss in the fire incident is estimated to be over Rs 50 lakh. A total of six fire tenders have been sent to the spot from Dawoodnagar, Aurangabad, and Jamhor. The fire was brought under control after four hours of hard struggle. By then, however, there was a lot of damage.

The entire market was reportedly closed around 8.15 pm on Saturday. All the businessmen had gone to their homes. Meanwhile, people nearby saw smoke emanating from the of this cloth mall. People informed shop owner Rohit alias Golu Kumar Gupta and the police station in this regard. On receiving the information, Saini rushed to the spot with a fire tender. Though nothing could happen with one vehicle, the district collector was informed. Then a fire tender arrived from more places.

On the other hand, local shopkeepers said that if the fire had taken place inside the market, the scene would have become more frightening. Because the route inside the market is very narrow and fire tenders could not reach in. Tell you that a few days ago there was a fire in the criminal market at Old GT Road in the district headquarters. A dozen shops were burnt in the incident. Because the fire brigade could not reach inside.
