Patna: A major accident has been reported at Meenapur in the Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. Four people, including three innocent children, lost their lives when an LPG cylinder exploded while cooking here. The woman, who was seriously injured in the accident, was admitted to Srikrishna Medical College (SKMCH) but died during treatment.

In the Muzaffarpur district, a blast broke out while cooking with a gas cylinder in Nandan village under the Meenapur police station area, killing three children tragically. While the mother of severely scorched children also died during treatment. There was chaos in the village after the incident. Locals controlled the fire by throwing water and sand and soil after a hard battle.

The dead children have been identified as Ashok Sah's daughter Deepanjali (6), son Aditya (4), and Vivek (2), while Ashok Sah's wife Shobha Devi (27) suffered nearly 75 percent burnt in the fire, but died during treatment.  The injured woman was undergoing treatment in the burn ward of SKMCH where she succumbed to her injuries late at night. After the incident, there is mourning in the village.
