Patna: Amid the ongoing flood outbreak in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of the state on Tuesday informed the State Assembly about the situation. Nitish Kumar said that on July 14, he surveyed the districts of Darbhanga, Madhubani, Sitamad and Motihari. He nearly conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas with the authorities for two-and-a-half hours. The next day, July 15, the flood-affected areas were monitored for four hours.

Briefing the Bihar Assembly, CM Nitish Kumar said that he also held a meeting with the officials on the flood situation at Chinpur airport. Instructions were also given to all officers, including the Purnea Commissioner. Earlier, he had a meeting on pre-flood preparations on July 6. There was also a detailed review on July 12 and 14. Addressing the Assembly, CM Nitish Kumar said that the situation has deteriorated due to heavy rains in Nepal.
