PATNA: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is poised to personally hand out appointment letters to a group of newly recruited teachers in a ceremony scheduled for today.
Accompanied by his deputy, Tejashwi Yadav, and a cadre of other ministers, the Chief Minister will be on hand to distribute these prestigious letters to approximately 25,000 successful candidates. The grand event is slated to take place at the iconic Gandhi Maidan.
For those candidates who cannot attend the central distribution, additional letters will be disseminated by local representatives, including MLAs, MPs, and district magistrates throughout the various districts of the state.
A remarkable 1.22 lakh candidates managed to secure success in the highly competitive examination organized by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), which offered an impressive 1.70 lakh teaching positions within the state. These distribution ceremonies have become a significant tradition, taking place not only in Patna's Gandhi Maidan but also in every district of Bihar.
In preparation for the event in Patna, three temporary pavilions have been erected in the expansive Gandhi Maidan, ensuring a smooth and orderly distribution process.
Earlier, Tejashwi Yadav enthusiastically noted the government's dedication to providing employment opportunities in the nation, symbolically mentioning the distribution of pens (Kalam) and swords (talwar) throughout the country.
Yadav said, "Such a massive surge in job opportunities has not been witnessed elsewhere in the country. The Narendra Modi government had pledged to generate 2 crore jobs annually. A decade has passed, yet we've seen little progress. Since the Mahagathbandhan government's inception in Bihar, we have stood true to our commitment, led by CM Nitish Kumar, offering teaching positions to 1.22 lakh individuals. We remain committed to creating additional government job opportunities in various departments."
In a pointed query directed at BJP leaders, Yadav asked, "I wonder how many jobs were created during their tenure in power in Bihar?"
