Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, October 28, distributed over 51,000 job appointment letters to new recruits. This noteworthy event, known as the Rozgar Mela, unfolded across 37 locations throughout the nation. The recruitment drive encompassed various central government departments, as well as those states and Union Territories that supported this initiative.

The newly selected recruits hailed from diverse corners of the country and found placement in a multitude of government departments, including railways, postal services, home affairs, revenue, higher education, school education, literacy, health, and family welfare, among others.

The official statement regarding the Rozgar Mela emphasized its pivotal role in fulfilling the Prime Minister's unwavering commitment to prioritize employment generation. It is anticipated to act as a catalyst, spurring further job creation and affording significant opportunities to empower the youth while fostering their active participation in national development.

Prime Minister Modi initiated the 'Rozgar Mela' campaign on October 22 of the previous year, marking the commencement of a drive to create 10 lakh government jobs. According to Union Minister BL Verma, the government has handed out employment letters to 5.5 lakh young individuals since the previous October.

In August of this year, Minister Verma distributed appointment letters to 250 candidates, chosen from a pool of 1,000, for various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including the BSF, CRPF, CISF, SSB, and ITBP. This Rozgar Mela initiative is an integral part of the government's ongoing efforts to alleviate unemployment in the country.

Through the Rozgar Mela event, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is actively recruiting personnel into several CAPFs, including the CRPF, BSF, SSB, Assam Rifles, CISF, ITBP, and the Narcotics Control Bureau, in addition to the Delhi Police, as stated by officials. Notably, the MHA has successfully filled approximately one lakh positions through the Mission Recruitment, with around 87,000 of these roles being occupied within the CAPFs, as confirmed by Minister Verma.
